Today, I was asked to look into Heather Owens and Kelly Quillen by an anonymous tip. A grand jury found sufficient evidence to bring charges against each. Heather is being charged with forgery, patient neglect, gross patient neglect, and tampering with records. Kelly is being charged with tampering with evidence, gross patient neglect, tampering with records, forgery, and patient neglect. Heather is being charged with three misdemeanors and one felony. Kelly is being charged with three misdemeanors and two felonies.
The incident took place on or around August 28, 2023, at the Praxis of the Firelands by Landmark Recovery in Willard, Ohio. The allegations stem from the treatment, or lack thereof, of Samantha Thompson. Both women pleaded not guilty.
This incident took place a month and a half after three patients died at the Mishawaka facility. Time will tell how this case plays out and what, if any, impact it will have on Landmark Recovery.

They need to do the same for the neglect of Holly’s death at the Praxis Louisville location. I’m glad justice is being served for Sam. It seems this case is getting swept under the rug.
