A Female Patient from Praxis of Louisville by Landmark Recovery Died

Louisville police are currently investigating a patient death at the Praxis of Louisville by Landmark Recovery facility on Sunday, February 9th, 2025. The news article states the female patient was deceased when the police arrived. Matt Boyle said, “The patient had a pulse and vital signs when leaving our facility.” Matt also stated, “Neither patient is currently in our care.” Matt is unsure if the other woman will be allowed back at Praxis. Matt said in a phone interview, “Not every incident can be learned from.” I am shocked Matt replied.

This patient was under Landmark’s care. Another family lost a loved one.

A female patient was arrested for murder. It’s alleged that the deceased wanted to die, so the woman killed her. The patient was found unresponsive on the floor of her room with an with an apparent laceration to her head. The victim was found unresponsive just before 9 p.m. Police showed up after 10:00 PM. It seems that Matt Boyle’s statement is a lie!!!

Louisville police have upgraded the charges from attempted murder to murder.

According to her arrest citation, surveillance video shows Hensley entering the victim’s room Sunday at Praxis of Louisville by Landmark Recovery in the Hazelwood neighborhood. Louisville Metro Police investigators said Hensley is initially seen walking into the victim’s room, and the victim could be seen standing.

About four minutes later, according to the arrest citation, Hensley is seen leaving the room, and the victim can be seen lying on the floor. She then reenters the room multiple additional times and never told staff anything about the victim’s condition.

“She said she wanted to die so I killed her,” Hensley told LMPD detectives, according to the arrest citation

Hensley added that she reentered the room several times because “she wasn’t dead yet” and “I f****** finished killing her.”

I have several questions. Why did Matt Boyle lie about the status of the deceased patient, and why did the Louisville police not admittedly arrest Ms. Hensley for murder?

Surveillance video shows Hensley entering the patient’s room at 8:54 PM and shutting the door. She left the room at 8:58 PM. The patient was discovered at 9:57 PM.
